Day 959: Downtime

Day 959, September found me relaxing at home. I had just had a race the day before and an exceptionally long day (happens when you are dependent on others). I needed this rest. Well, this rest did start with some translation work because I had deadlines. But I also spent time doing things that I normally cannot do on very busy days. I finally changed the bedsheets. Finally. I had been looking at the bed for a few weeks already, thinking “Somebody should change the sheets” but had done nothing so far. And I washed two loads of laundry and actually took them outside to dry. Oh, the clothes smelt great afterwards! I also sorted some clothes and other stuff. Mostly things we (= my husband) have won from races. For instance, we have three umbrellas. We rarely even use one… I took photos of the stuff and plan to sell it. Someone probably needs these things more. I did love that day at home. I didn’t run but managed to collect quite a many steps.

Progress Report

1. Own and live in a house.

Earned some money from translations. Sorted things to be sold – if this works out, more money coming in for the house.

2. Write AND publish a book.

No, didn’t write.

3. Win a major race.

Downtime. No running. But the day was active. Rest and recovery is also crucial and so many people tend to forget it.

This is one of the things that I am selling. Beautiful but doesn’t feel comfortable around my wrist so I need to get rid of it. This bracelet could make someone happy!
